You never know what God might be preparing you for! The EquuSound story started back when the young horse enthusiast, Cammi married Dr. Matt Taranto, a board certified Aerospace Physiologist for the United States Air Force. One of his many duties while serving our country was as a certified custom ear impressionist, providing custom hearing protection for some of the world’s finest aviators. These two seemingly different worlds collided in 2022 when Cammi purchased a new colt (Traeger) to become a "smokin'" mounted shooting partner. During Traeger’s training, he made it clear that current market earplugs failed to provide the hearing protection he needed. With Matt’s aeromedical background, he started working on a solution for Cammi and Traeger's roadblock. Would it be possible to use his experience in custom hearing protection and transform that into anatomically correct custom horse earplugs? So, they set to work in their office (a.k.a. the barn and back patio) and created earplugs specifically designed for the equine ear. Through God’s providence this vision has turned into a reality too good to keep to ourselves. Traeger, sporting the world's first custom set of equine earplugs continues to confirm what we envisioned, "Calm Performance." As the official ambassador of EquuSound, Traeger hopes you will do the same for your horse!
